(12) The Authentic Self

The Authentic Self is one with Creative Principle and Universal Intelligence as well as the ego personality—the lower self. This unifying principle is ever present in a human being. The noise of the ego’s obsessive thinking drowns out this inner presence and quiet voice. But, the Self is waiting to be reconciled with the ego personality. It calls to the ego with unconditional acceptance in times of open awareness and grace. Silence and stillness bring the ego and Self together. In this space of unlimited potential, the divine and human merge.

Chronic negative beliefs and emotions prevent you from being open to the personal transformation the Self offers. Your personal power, compassion and wisdom remain limited until you live from the Authentic Self. This Higher Self lives in perfect alignment with the Creator. It is the Universal Christ Consciousness that exists within every human being; It integrates the spiritual and human aspects of your being and collapses inner polarities. It also puts you in perfect alignment with your desires, skills, talents, values and purpose.

The Self frees you from the illusion of separation from self, others, life and Creator. The Self influences you to be a choice maker who is in alignment with universal laws. When your will merges with your Authentic Self, your choices are no longer based on a need for power, control and being right. Together, you co-create for the greater good of the whole; you can improve and uplift human consciousness and the human condition.

As you observe more and judge less, you are on our way to the Self. The Self replaces the negative emotions and beliefs that are based on fear and separation with happiness, gratitude, compassion, and trust. Once this connection is strong, the inner knowing of the Self guides you. This quiet voice of truth fills you with inner peace. The observing witness within you creates the pathway through which the ego aligns itself with the Self.

(11) Observe Without Judgments or Resistance

Judgments: Your judgments distort what you see and hear as well as contaminate the interpretations you place on insights or situations. They limit your thinking, your being and your life. They limit truth. You are in a state of unlimited awareness when you suspend judgments.

The observing witness gets out of the problem, removes blind-spots and sees possibilities. S/he gets a clear picture of the issues and discovers creative solutions. Connecting to pure potentiality, the witness retrieves new ideas that s/he tests in reality: What is the next step to accomplish the goal? What resources do I need to implement it? What are the consequences of doing it this way?

When you approach Universal Intelligence with an open mind and heart, you become the highest instrument of the co-creative process. The results you produce will have a positive influence on mankind. Your personal gain will be great, too.

Resistance: You create struggle and striving when you force an agenda to happen your way. Through your mistakes and disappointments, you learn many valuable lessons about yourself and the process of co-creating. At some point, you must get off the treadmill in order to observe a situation from a higher perspective.

Your challenge is to recognize when you are resisting truth because you are striving to make something happen. As an observer, you are more able to discriminate between when to take charge and when to allow universal laws to do their magic.

A power greater than yourself is available to bring you into alignment with the co-creative flow. Trust this Higher Order; you will be able to let go of your fears and doubts. You will no longer need to control the outcome; you will be guided to the finish line.

(10) The Observing Witness

To witness is to be involved and aware without preconceived ideas. The witness assesses, analyzes and evaluates information with objectivity. The witness is able to remain open to possibility as s/he participates in life.

An observing witness is always a curious seeker of truth. What is real and true may change as the observer changes her/his level of awareness. When looking at blood or human cells through a microscope, the observer will see different things depending on the level of magnification. Yet, all levels reflect truth.

Your perception is the lens of your microscope. It affects your ability to look deeper into the truth of your being and the origins of co-creating. As your awareness evolves and expands, so does your ability to recognize and discern truth at the deepest levels of reality.

Human beings have within them the potential to be a witness as they

  • Observe without judgments
  • Discern truth from falsehood
  • Live in the expanded awareness of the present moment

    (9) Truth Is Within You

If you could live the truth of your divinity, you would be free from limitation and at one with the abundant creative flow—the river of life. You would be a Master co-creator. But, layers of rigid beliefs and conditioned patterns prevent you from living this state of truth, unity and expansion. The way to clarity and truth is a journey that requires awareness, effort and time.

Before you can shed distortions that leave out more truth, power and love than they let in, you must look beyond the known. Personal discontent and curiosity motivate you to discover what is possible within yourself and the universe. When you find a personal or universal truth on your journey of transformation, you feel free, expansive and powerful. Truth connects you to more of yourself and life, not less. It produces harmony, not discord. You begin to feel full, not empty; connected, not disconnected.

When your awareness slips into the space between your thoughts (not thinking), you enter the space of pure potential. If you have a clear mental slate for even a second, a new insight can be written on it. As you slip into a blank state of mind, Universal Intelligence speaks to you. With an open, objective mind, you go beyond limiting beliefs to greater truths. This process connects you to personal and universal wisdom and eventually restores you to the human/divine perfect pattern.

    Become an observing witness:

    • Ask one open ended question (not a yes or no question) of Universal Intelligence while in a calm, centered, curious, compassionate state of being; then trust the answer is coming to you.
    • Remain open to possible insights or solutions while living your normal life for several hours, days, weeks and months; check in from time to time by asking the question and listening for the insight.
    • Be aware and listen for answers to come to you through your dreams, the media, books, nature or people. Do not strain for answers; just know the answer exists.
    • Analyze the data that grabs your attention. (If you do not know where or how your body feels truth, develop this response; your body wants to help you recognize truth.) When you receive the right insight or solution, it is in harmony with who you are and feels positive.
