(4) Beyond the Status Quo

Rigid beliefs limit your awareness of what is possible. They hold you captive in what you know to be real, true and comfortable. In your need to remain in the known, you are less able to discover the truth in a new possibility. A fearless, inquisitive, open mind leads you out of limiting perceptions and beliefs.

Spiritual, social and scientific institutions promote the status quo—the known. These institutions limit your access to what is possible and real for yourself and the group. When you rigidly believe someone else’s truth, you silence or devalue your inner voice. Possibilities for the evolution of the human race remain a secret as well.

Formal religion reminds you of your spiritual roots. It is a source of comfort and community. It is also filled with dogma that may prevent you from finding truth through direct individual experience. When you rely on another’s truth instead of discovering your own, you limit your connection to Universal Intelligence and Creative Principle. When you have the courage to be awake and aware to unlimited possibility, you will be able to go beyond the status quo.

As you allow Universal Intelligence to guide you into truth, you will become an enlightened co-creator. You will live in harmony with the universal laws of creation. You will begin to change human evolution and guide the course of history in positive ways. The ultimate Power, Wisdom and Love are within you. Use them to co-create a new way of being, doing and having in this world.

Opportunities to open your mind and change your thinking exist everywhere. A book, person, class or movie can touch you with a truth you are ready to hear. Being in the stillness and expansion of nature itself can stimulate valuable insights. Each new truth you discover expands your awareness and transforms your being.
